The Delta Phi Lambda Foundation has instituted a $300 scholarship to recognize one sister who has not only devoted herself to the sorority, but also to her future by upholding a standard of excellence in her college academic career. After reviewing the many outstanding applications, the Foundation has decided to award Jemi Puno from Illinois State University.
Jemi Puno is a junior at Illinois State University with a major in East Asian Studies. She has been inducted into the Order of Omega and has been a part of her university’s honors program. Jemi also has committed her time to help out with the community by participating in Alternative Spring Break every year. She loves traveling to new places and learning new languages. She has been to Korea and the Philippines, and has studied Spanish, Japanese and Tagalog. Her dream is to become a successful businesswoman for an international corporation.
This scholarship has been made possible by the generosity of the alumnae of Delta Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc.
