Greetings Sisters,

Happy Founders’ Day! In our 18th year, we have established strategic goals to redefine the Everlasting Sisterhood. For this double issue, we still strive to reach these goals by building the bonds between collegiate and alumnae sisters and by focusing on you and your legacy.

In the wake of the 2016 presidential election results last month, I addressed The Jade Times team with words from the late Grace Lee Boggs, an author, social activist, philosopher and feminist.

“A revolution that is based on the people exercising their creativity in the midst of devastation is one of the great historical contributions of humankind.”

Our creative team has now grown to 28 sisters, both collegiate and alumnae volunteers, who serve the greater good of the sorority. We have developed an editorial team of five dedicated female leaders to continue paving the way. For this progress, we have each of you to thank for your dedication to the mission and support for the sorority.

Let’s encourage each other to stay engaged within our communities and live out our virtues. On this day, take a moment to reflect. We ask, “How will you redefine the sisterhood?”

In Everlasting Sisterhood,

Kristine “Aster” Medina
