Hope everyone is having a good 2018 so far! In this Issue, to commemorate Black History Month, Sister Aster shares her trip to Selma, Alabama, where she saw the the Edmund Pettus Bridge and met a diverse group of women who each shared a moment where they felt most alive. Also, in celebration of the year of the dog, Sister Manifesto introduces mementos of Lunar New Year.
As we enter March, Women’s History Month, I encourage you to not only think of the female leaders of communities, but also take some time to appreciate the women in our daily lives, our mentors, mothers, sisters, and friends. In our March issue we will feature stories of sisters and important women to them.
We are still accepting applications for assistant editor and copy editor positions. If you are interested, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Lastly, I would like to thank the entire staff of The Jade Times for their hard work.
