Greeting Sisters,

We are again at crossing season! This semester not only do we welcome new sisters from chapters across the nation, we also greet our new colony chapter at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. This marks the 20th chapter of Delta Phi Lambda, on the eve of the sorority’s 20th anniversary. The growth of our organization is undeniable, and could not be achieved without the continuous hard work of undergraduate and alumnae sisters alike. Our sorority will be holding Convention XVII: Standing Together, 20 Years Strong this summer, on Aug. 3-5, at Athens, GA. Registration is now open here.

The Jade Times is also introducing our new contributing writer, Ngoc “Oriflamme” Doan. Sister Oriflamme is a 2017 graduate from the Iowa State University and is passionate about working in the multicultural community. We are still accepting applications for assistant editor and copy editor positions. If you are interested, please contact me at

Lastly, I wish good luck to all sisters taking final exams now, and best wishes to sisters graduating this semester. It’s a big world out there, but we will all find our place.

Let our light shine forth!

Alberta “Harlequin” Chu
