“This past year has been one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences of my college career thus far,” Sara “Mesmerize” Yang, who served as the Alpha chapter president for the 2010-2011 academic year, said. “I feel incredibly honored to have been able to provide leadership for such a group of passionate, dedicated young women.”

Among the long list of achievements that Alpha chapter provided for this spring, recruitment at the University of Georgia yielded the Fancy Four Omega class while active sisters collectively completed over 200 hours of community service. The chapter raised over $200 to contribute to NAPA’s Japan earthquake relief effort. They also received the Highest GPA award and Outstanding Philanthropy Award from the Multicultural Greek Council at the annual Greek Awards Banquet. Alpha chapter sisters took first place for their creative performances at the UGA Asian American Student Association’s Battle of the Orgs and the stroll competition at the APIA Unity Mixer 2011.
